Project Spotlight: Weekend Retreat amidst nature
Tucked in Chikkamagaluru, this project redefines sustainable living by proving that ecology and elegance can co-exist beautifully.
The Design Philosophy
Our core intention was simple: create a home that feels alive—light-filled, grounded, and effortlessly aesthetic. The client desired serenity, nature’s presence, and minimalist warmth.

Eco Choices That Made the Difference
Walls: Compressed Stabilized Earth Blocks (CSEB) sourced locally – reducing cement and transporting costs
Roofing: Jack arch system for thermal comfort without energy-intensive cooling
Flooring: Lime oxide floor with natural pigments – breathable and tactile underfoot
Finishes: Natural plasters, reclaimed wood elements, and low-VOC paints
Energy: Passive solar orientation + courtyard ventilation kept the home naturally cool year-round
The Aesthetic Outcome
Neutral palettes, handcrafted finishes, and the dance of sunlight across earthy textures bring stillness to the space. What looks minimalist is, in fact, deeply layered—with natural wisdom.
Why It Matters
This home is not just low-impact—it’s life-enhancing. It offers visual poetry with ecological responsibility.
📌 If you’re dreaming of a space that’s as conscious as it is beautiful, this is your blueprint.
